About This Drink

Jaljeera is the drink of India's street corners — handed over in small clay cups beside chaat stalls, poured from earthen pots in the summer heat. The fizz version is what happens when that tradition meets a cocktail glass and some ambition.

Jaljeera powder is available at any Indian grocery store — it contains dry mango powder, black pepper, ginger, and mint already blended. If unavailable, substitute ½ tsp chaat masala plus a pinch of black pepper.
