Ingredients
- 45 mlLight gold rum 1-3yo
- 22.5 mlCognac (brandy)
- 50 mlOrange juice
- 30 mlLemon juice
- 15 mlOrgeat syrup
- 1⁄4 barspoon Xanthan gum (E415)
Method
- 1Select and pre-chill a DOUBLE OLD-FASHIONED GLASS.
- 2Prepare garnish of orange slice wheel, mint sprigs and ideally an edible gardenia flower or white rose.
- 3DRY BLEND (without ice) first 5 ingredients on slow setting and then gradually add Xanthan gum while continuing to blend.
- 4Add half full 7oz scoop of crushed ice and BLEND some more.
- 5POUR into chilled glass.
- 6Garnish with orange wheel, mint sprigs bouquet and ideally an edible gardenia flower or white rose.
- 7Serve with a straw.
