Gymkhana in Mayfair is one of London's great restaurants — a Michelin-starred interpretation of the colonial-era gymkhana clubs of British India. The kitchen is exceptional; the cocktail programme, run through '42 at Gymkhana', is equally considered.
The six cocktails featured here span Gymkhana's full range: Royal Bombay Yacht Club, Bagheera (dark, spirit-forward, named after the Black Panther), Jal Jeera Whisky, Pegu Club, Moose Wala (a tribute to the Punjabi music icon), and Mr Ilyas. They are the work of a bar team that thinks like a kitchen.
