About This Drink

Saffron Milwaukee's modern Indian menu draws on the Ayurvedic tradition of combining herbs and spices for both flavour and wellness. The Ginger Tea Detoxer is their flagship mocktail — an iced tea that uses ginger's warming heat, thyme's aromatic depth, and the natural sweetness of apple to create something genuinely refreshing without being sugary.

Do not over-steep the green tea or it will become bitter — 5 minutes maximum. Thyme is the surprise ingredient; it adds a Mediterranean-herbal note that makes the drink more complex than a simple ginger tea. For a sparkling version, replace apple juice with sparkling apple cider (non-alcoholic).
